Our testing goes beyond the first fabric and into real-life usage, evaluating UV protection before and after laundering, sunlight and chlorinated water utilizing industry standards to assure you get true UPF 50+ protection.
We analyze every fabric for UPF and UVA/UVB ratings. Each one is tested in 10 spots, at least 3 times (more for stripes and multicolor patterns or prints), to verify true UPF 50+ protection. Nice hat but strap could be a few inches longer and part of t goes over your head is quite tight (and my head isn’t large). Also brim has support in it t is nice to keep brim from flopping, but it’s a bit hard to keep the brim smooth

Coolibar hats are well made, hand washable, made to last years, and travel really well even packed flat in a suitcase. This was purchased for my daughter since she’s been using some of my Coolibar hats. The hats outlast the chinstraps, so I replace those with long shoestrings, no problem. I get lots of compliments with the Shelly Coolibar hats.

I think I am going to like this hat once it ‘unwrinkles’ from the shipping. It came twisted up with a rubber band. Otherwise I probably would have given it 5 stars.
